It’s sad that after Hillary Clinton’s disappointing loss in her historical bid to become the first female to become the Democratic nominee for President, she can’t be gracious enough to give Barack Obama her full support. The speech that she gave at the Democratic Convention was moving but since then she hasn’t done much at all to inspire those that are upset because of her loss. Polls show that more than 50% of Clinton supporters are not sold on Obama. In a poll taken in June after Hillary Clinton bowed out of the race, 21% of her supporters said that they would vote for John McCain. That number has increased to 28% since then. On the campaign trail for Obama, reporters constantly ask Clinton to comment on Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin and her experience. Clinton just brushes the questions off. This is one of her repsonses:
“This election is about issues, and that’s what’s going to matter to people at the end of the day,” she told reporters who asked her about the Alaska governor at a rally for a Democratic congressional candidate at Wagner College
.
This election is about issues ? It’s funny that her campaign strategy against Obama was completely based on making voters believe that he was not experienced enough to lead our nation just as McCain is doing but now when the party needs her to attack Palin for her inexperience all of a sudden this election is about issues. Why wasn’t it about issues when you were running against Obama Mrs. Clinton ? She really makes me sick with her fake alliance to Obama. The only thing that you can count on from her is her “No McCain, No Palin, No Way” speech which isn’t doing much to sway her supporters over to Obama. If Hillary and her husband’s priority was the Democratic Party and not their egos, they would be working much harder to secure a Democratic win. I honestly feel that they both want John McCain to win. They both are always quick to say that McCain is such a good friend of theirs. Hillary even made a comment that “a vote for Hillary Clinton would be a vote for someone with experience who is ready to lead, a vote for John McCain would be a vote for someone with experience who is ready to lead but a vote for Barack Obama would be a vote for someone who gave a good speech four years ago.” That was one of the most disturbing comments I’ve ever heard in a race. I’ve never heard a candidate urge voters to cross party line before in my life. That comment was made clearly out of frustration and anger because her battle with Obama had become personal to her and her husband.
Bill Clinton was on ABC’s The View recently. He was asked wheter Hillary wanted to be Vice President and his response was no but she would do it if asked because it would be her duty. Clinton was also asked if Hillary’s supporters were wrong for backing McCain now. His answer was no. He explained that people vote for candidates for a number of different reasons including issues, race, sex, etc… He went on to say that you cant begrudge a person for switching their support to another candidate because of a disappointment such as what happened to Hillary. I say Bull$hit !!! Anyone that was behind Hillary and is now behind McCain switched for 1 of 2 reasons. 1 is because they wanted to see a woman in office and the other is not wanting to see a Black man in office. Both are wrong. If you were voting for Hillary solely because she’s a female your an idiot. What about experience ? What about her beliefs ? What about her stance on the issues ? The Democratic Party has completely different beliefs from tthose of the Republican Party, so if you can just switch to McCain you never were a true Dem any freaking way. Now all of a sudden because you’re mad that Obama kicked Hillary’s a$$, you’re willing to risk having a President that will overturn Roe vs. Wade, privatize Social Security, give welfare to rich corporations and tax cuts to the rich. If so, go right ahead and don’t f@%ing complain when this country really goes to $hit !!!!
When asked who would when the election, Bill responded Barack Obama for the usual reason which is why should people give the country over to the party who got us into the predicament that we’re in. Instead of him elaborating on Obama and his qualifiactions, Bill launches into a glowing speech on why John McCain is such a good guy. He talked about how McCain backed him on his policies towards Korea and their nuclear weapons when McCain spoke up and said that he was right. Bill also said that McCain had given something that most Americans will never be able to say they gave which is years of their lives in a prison for their country. You would have thought that McCain was the Democratic nominee. Bill said nothing at all about Obama. The Clintons are playing this nice guy role by not wanting to get dirty with the Republicans but they were willing to destroy Obama with any piece of dirt that they could find. Through it all Obama never stooped to their level. And for all of you who think that there was no dirt on Hillary, don’t be naive.
Obama could have started with Hillary’s Senior Thesis form Wellesly. He also could’ve gone after her supposed Civil Rights work by revealing her alliance to Barry Goldwater, the Senator who voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Many believed that Goldwater was a racist because of his vote but that can be argued because of his record with the NAACP and Arizona National Guard. It isn’t clear about Goldwater’s true beliefs but his vote against the CRA was wrong. The Clinton’s may be fooling many people into believing that they are doing all that they can to help Obama, but I am not one of them.

Sorry but I was under the impression that we had our own minds and our own reasons for not voting for Obama. Hillary telling me to vote for someone isn’t going to sway me one iota, and it wouldn’t sway any intelligent human being.
We make our own minds up, Hillary doesnt do that for us. As much as we love and respect her at the end of the day I am in the voting booth alone.
I am not voting for Obama because he is a corrupt individual who doesnt give a damn about this country. He cheated in the primaries and caucus’s and our party refused to do or say anything about it, why? Because they were in Obama’s pocket long before the primaries. You think it coincidence that the speech accepting the nomination of the democratic party was on the anniversary of the “I Have A Dream Speech”? Come on now, they knew that they were going to do all they can, break every rule and bylaw the party had, to insure Obama got the nomination.
I don’t know about you, but I refuse to reward this corruption. I refuse to allow this man to run my country. I refuse to accept a man without morals or character, a man who is hiding everything about himself. His life should be an open book by now, McCain’s is. Obama is hiding all his school records, college records and papers, etc. Why? Because he doesnt want the American people to know just what a racist he is.
Hillary will get my vote in 2012, Until then my party has left me no choice but to protect my country by voting for McCain.
I think for myself, I judge for myself, and I can see for myself that Obama is not The One.
So you want Hillary to shout from the rafters how much she loves Obama right? Did you forget she was running against him? Did you forget that he is still corrupt? Did you forget that he lied and cheated?
And you wonder why I will not vote for Obama, as if this isn’t reason enough, its because Hillary isn’t schlepping for Obama hard enough?
Hillary has nothing to do with it, Obama is why I wont vote for Obama.

Well the DNC should know better,
And if Obama won Fair and Square, why does he need the Clinton Help!!!!
You don’t see in past elections the runner up helping with their Campaign,
Its not the clintons responsibility to get Obama elected,
Its up to Obama, to win over Hillary Voters and he not doing a good job,
You never heard the Dnc forcing the clinton to get someone else elected,
Show you where the DNC is coming from

DaddysDarlin just as the article stated, if you will vote for McCain instead of Obama you were never a Democrat anyway. You should remain with the Republican Party in 2012 when you claim you’ll be voting for Hillary. You have the nerve to talk about someone being corrupt and having someone in their pockets. WTF ??? Whitewater, The Carlyle Group, Arab control of all of the ports in the U.S. were all things your buddy Bill Clinton is a part of. Do some reading. And Obama’s past is not secret. People like you just want to make him out to be something he isn’t. You really think that the U.S. is going to allow a BLACK MAN to run for President and hide his past especially if he may be a Muslim or racist ? So go ahead and vote for McCain and like I said when $hit gets worse don’t open your damn mouth !!!!

PaulV I dont know what country you live in but here in the U.S. every winner always wants the endorsement and help of his runner up and all others who were in the race. I guess you didn’t hear that McCain was waiting for Rudolph Giuliani and Mitt Romney to endorse him which they both did. And it is the responsibility of ALL DEMOCRATS to get Obama elected just as it was for us all when Bill Clinton ran and how you would’ve been crying for Obama to help Hillary if she won.

LOL. This guy is an obvious idiot that thinks he has the right to tell the rest of us how to vote. I’m a Hillary supporter who will GLADLY vote for McCain. I most certainly am NOT stupid, as you suggest. Hillary, like McCain, is a moderate (though from different parties). Obama is as liberal as they come! He would RUIN this country. I can prefer McCain to Obama without being a racist. (I would gladly vote for J.C. Watts, Colin Powell, or even Bill Cosby.) You quit telling me what I think and how I should vote and I’ll quit calling you a stupid SOB.

Senators Clinton and Obama’s Senate votes only differed on one bill. Senator Obama didn’t hide anything in his book about his life. It is courageously honest, when it would have been easier to leave out things he openly shared. My opinion differs from the comments left who are against Senator Obama. I view Barack Obama as a leader with high standards. How many senators have websites as open as Barack Obama’s? The Senators and Representatives in my state are not so. At http://obama.senate.gov/votes/ you can see every vote Barack has taken. This is open and transparent government. No hiding. Contact information is easily found on his website, unlike my state’s national elected officials. Corrupt is not a word that fits Barack Obama. John McCain and Hillary Clinton are contrasts in voting records in the Senate. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have voted on the same side of bills and are in line on their policies. No one is expected to agree with me here. I simply add this opinion to the mix.

It appears that the “BUBBA” effect is alive and well based on the outrageous comments above. I am a registered Democrat and have regularly exercised my right to vote for over thirty years. Once again, I will go to the poll and cast my vote for the Democratic Presidential Candidate, which happens to be Barack Obama! It will be a cold day in hell before I cast my vote for a Republican; especially since the economic mess, going on right now can clearly be placed on their shoulders. Amazingly, there was a surplus of money when Bill Clinton - a Democrat - was President. It did not take very long for the current Republican regime - Bush and Company - to wipe it out and create trillions of dollars of debt. I hope that the “turn coat” Democrats can live with themselves if we all have to endure another four years of this mess. So I will remain a Democrat to the end because McCain equals “more of the same”!

Are some of you people that irresponsible and childish as to not see what’s before your eyes? For crying out loud would you really vote for McCain and have the Republicans drive us into utter ruin. What about Palin? Is it really OK with you that she would run this country when she can’t even carry out an interview with Couric with any semblance of coherence. Grow up…..Even if you’re mad about Hillary losing you have to look at the big picture. Hillary also needs to get out there and yell from the rooftops in support of Obama instead of licking her wounds on the sidelines. Look at how the Republican party is currently splintered. The democratic party must exhibit a united front and strike now while the proverbial iron is hot or once again we’ll find a way to lose this election. This is way too critical a time in history for our tender egos to get in the way. Deep down you all grasp the the consequences of another Republican term……

Ditto! I could not have said it better myself.

It’s just a true testament to no matter how well you claim to be for all the american people and to have every right that america offers to americans of all nationalities when you step outside of the place where certain white americans think you ought to be, it is then and only then that you find out that “I’m not a racist” only means that I’m not as long as you stay in the place where “white” poeple feel comfortable seeing you at. P.S. Bill& Hillary are still proof that racism goes all the way to the top.

I am disgusted how all of Barack’s main constituents Now feel that it is Hillary’s job to now campaign and fight his battles against Palin. Like Hillary and Bill said, “going negative will only help McCain win.” And seeing two women going at it is not professional…it will look like a cat fight. Also, I feel it is Not the Clinton’s job to get him elected…No one who was kicked out of the race should have to do such a thing…that is what the VP is for (the attack dog Biden) And Barack did Not Pick Hillary for his VP….oh well…I remember these blogs of Barack’s main constituents wanted nothing to do with Hillary…and you were all saying, “We don’t need her, we are tired of seeing her.” But now that there is Palin…You are Once Again Blaming the Clinton’s!!! And some and/or a lot of people are identifying more with McCain b/c he has crossed party lines…He did know and try to put a stop against Freddy and Fannie…and now more is coming out about Obama regarding ACORN and law suits against Obama by saying he is totally unelectable b/c he does not have real citizenship…he was born in Kenya then came to Hawaii (which is just legal residency but Not Citizenship) and stealing money from ACORN, RICO laws…and the list goes on and on…And both Clinton’s are still out there campaigning away…and it is not really their fight anymore…but the Clinton’s are Still doing it…Going on talk shows and praising Obama…now campaigning even on their Wedding Anniversary for Obama!….I am telling you…If He Does Not Win Do Not Dare Blame The Clinton’s…They did and still are, doing everything for Obama.
Obama/Biden hopefully…
But if not….
Hillary 2012!

DaddysDarlin - you are an idiot.
