For those of you who missed Making The Band, Diddy had a meeting with the girls and decided that Aubrey was out of the group because she “didn’t have to talk the way she was talking to him”. Translation: This will teach everyone else not to stand up to me, and especially not to ask questions - particularly when it comes to money!
Diddy had a meeting with the group and all of a sudden, all of this “drama” with the group that had never been conveyed on camera before just came out of nowhere (which continues to feed my suspicion that this show is scripted). Never once did you see any friction between the girls. Never one argument, never one eye roll… nothing. So, either these girls were very good at hiding their true feelings towards one another while the cameras were rolling or they spend a lot of time diting the show.

Diddy reveals that Aundrea had at one point sent him an email saying that she wanted out of the group but when he asked her why she stumbled and tried to be politically correct in conveying her “love” for the ladies. Then he goes on to ask Aubrey why she wanted out at one point but he didn’t like what she had to say.She said that the group had collectively decided that they had problems with management and the way things were being handled with them. The fact that a rumor came from someone on his management team about Diddy working with Dawn on a solo project was disturbing and had caused mistrust within the group.
Aubrey’s issue was, if the group already has trust issues and it’s tearing the group apart, it would just make sense that he ease their suspicions and calm their nerves about whether he was working with a particular member on a solo project.
Diddy’s point (in true Diddy fashion) was, “I don’t have to tell you nothin!” Before it was all over, Diddy told Aubrey that he didn’t want her in the group anymore and asked if anyone wanted to go with her… fade to black!

as a CEO and a multi-millionaire aubrey did not respect him, she did not respect being selected out of thousands of other women that were considerable better than her, and she doesnt respect his authority as her boss, you owe your boss a certain level of respect and on a professional level, you are not his equal, that is life and it is the name of the game, if you want to get ahead you have to recognize that, that being said, diddy snapped, he DOES NOT need to let anyone know who was or wasn’t on his own album for a plethora of reasons but in large part because all of it is his. The only instance in which Aubrey should have spoken on the demo thing is if he had every member in Danity Kane on his album but her, she ran her mouth a million times too many and that was the final straw, you get to learn your boss, their likes and dislikes, what you can and cant say.

I completely disagree. She did show respect. She did not yell at him or talk down to him, she merely stated her point of view and how she felt about the situation. He asked for the truth and she gave him the truth. She even gave him time to speak and asked kindly whether or not she could speak on his rebuttal. I feel if anything as a business person whether you are a manager or a coworker, if you have a problem you feel needs to be addressed, then you should be given the opportunity to address it. Perfect opportunity since they were having a meeting about the groups future. She only asked him if he could fill the group in…his response was no…FINE, its Diddy so whatever. But to call her out and kick her out was so uncalled for. Just like she said, if the group is already having problems within each other with trust and management says oh well Diddy is working on a solo project with Dawn….where does that leave the group? How would you feel in that situation. I agree that you need to be respectful, especially to your boss, but at the same time, you cant let people run all over you. You have to watch you own skin, and she did that, and she did it in a business manner. She wasnt rude, she wasnt disrespectful, she did exactly what he asked. She told the truth. She expressed her feelings, and though Dawn said pretty much the same thing in a different way, he didnt say anything to her. I just feel like he is a dictator. I hate it when someone says I want the truth and then gets mad if they dont like it. You asked for it!!! I guess instead he wanted to hear something he liked. Overall I think it was uncalled for. I also think that it is somewhat of a test. I dont believe she is kicked out, I could be wrong though. We shall see next week.

I totally agree with you Chelsea! And I am not a very big fan of Aubrey, but we have to admit it, how Diddy reacted was very uncalled for. Aubrey is known for a “big mouth”, like it or not. She is a smart girl, she just has certain ways that are somewhat annoying, that “je ne sais quoi” that makes you grrrrr, tell her to shut up(lol). But she always has good arguments for her defense, and has never been disrepectful, and she is very eloquent…
Diddy asked her to tell the truth, and how she was feleing, and that is what she did! Dawn (that I like the least) did the same thing, but for some reason, it was “ok”. Aundrea (that I like the most) did not really answer Diddy’s question as far as “What’s up wiht you and the group”, and it caught my attention when he told her” Ok Aundrea, I don’t want to put too much pressure on you right now.”
What does that mean??? Diddy’s has had a problem with Aubrey since the beginning, because she is opinionated , and she is not scared of him! I think that bothers him. He wants people to fear him, that makes him feel evenmore powerfull.
That’s ok Diddy, you need to chill, we know youe Da Man (lol)
Anyway, I don’t believe Aubrey really got fired. Eve though she has not the best voice (far from it), she belongs to the group…we’ll see next week..I am sure it was just for TV..

Diddy is an idiot! Aubrey IS danity kane, you cant just put someone else in her place and say “heres danity kane” I mean its not just the name of a group, it the people in it.

As far as kicking her out, I feel like he tried to beat her to the punch. Aubrey has been talking about leaving the group for some time now. I think he just didn’t want her to leave first. Although we all love Diddy, we clearly know he an ego-tripping S.O.B. sometimes. I totally agree with Aubrey about the management issue with Diddy. He claims he wants Danity Kane to be a family, a family doesn’t keep secrets from one another. That’s his problem. That’s why 112, and faith evans left and he needs to remember that. But I think Aubrey will be back. When I think of Danity Kane I don’t think of Shannon, Andrea, D.Woods, or Dawn. Ithink of Aubrey!!! And about Dawn’s solo, I mean really are we gonna go there? I like Dawn but to me, alone, she would like be a Kelly Rowland. So… what would be the point? Shes aa great writer and good singer. Not a solo artist.

First off what is there to respect about Puffy?
Everybody knows that he’s in it for the money.
I think Aubrey respected him 4 years ago, but not anymore and for good reason.
He was going to break up Danity Kane, just like he did Dream and The Band.
So kudos to Aubrey to telling him what she thought of him, I would have. His production and leadership SUCKS, just like she said. Don’t act ike you run ish when your never there. Respect is earned not granted because u think u the shit cuz you change ur name every 4 years.
Leighton knows where I’m coming from. Act like a CEO and you’ll get treated like one. Sean Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Diddy Combs doesn’t understand and outside of hip-hop and rap music, he is a management JOKE!
And that’s real so HOLLA!

I’m trying to figure out if everybody was watching the same show i was because the only person i agree with is iris who left the first comment. I mean I understand where Aubrey was coming from when she stated that she was under the impression that diddy was working on a solo career with dawn, but once he told her that he was using dawn on track for his own album that should have been the end of that. then for her to go on and tell him that if he chooses to do that he needs to tell them, huh? no he doesn’t it’s his album. I mean if it was another artist on a totally different label they would not have went to them to ask their permission to use dawn on their track so why should he, like he said it’s his record. Diddy has been having problems with Aubrey since the beginning we all know this from watching the show and we all know that when your having the same problem with a person over and over again weather its the way they talk to you or if you think they don’t respect you your gonna get tired of it.I look at it as she was listening to diddy but she wasn’t really hearing what he was saying she was more worried about getting her point across like always and this time she talked herself out the group, we all know how diddy feels about people respecting him and this time i guess he just snapped and got tired of it.
But i do hope she bounces back from this but then again diddy is know for doing some crazy stuff. Maybe next week he’ll decide to give her another chance either way it goes i wish her the best.

“Diddy” is a human being and should treat everybody like a human. He is not some high authority by all means I love his music and I’m sure to some people he is a very nice person. But he has to learn that this ego trip he is on will fall short and many of the people he has come to know and love will eventually fade away to death or on seperate paths. You get what you put in and people get what they deserve. Sean Combs should do well to understand and take in this quote. Yeah he has money and fame, but he does not hold some devine iternal beauty or any secret to success. He was blessed with strong features and appealing talents. He is a very successful human being but in the end. Success doesn’t matter. Its how you treat people and how you are to be treated. He is fond to flip when a “Hater” is on his turf but does he not realize that its the people who put trust in others and love eachother for who they are that are the real success. Not knowning Sean Combs personally might set me away from his person assets that make him a great father or a great human being but if he wants “respect” then he needs to learn that its mutual and that his being that is portrayed on television really feeds these “Haters” opinions on why Media ruins the youths mind. I know for a fact that if any child or any adult who acted the way he is portrayed on tv in the real world would be looked at as an ibecile. He will eventually get what he gives. Its sad to see but you have to learn some way. Hopefully he will change the act he has put on but until then we will just have to say.
I wish happiness to all, kudos AUBREY

No but he is their boss,he does sign their paychecks,so at the end of the day you may not like his ways but you have to respect that.He took a chance on her when no one else would. He is the one who formed the group that has done so well. She is not Mary J. Blige. She has not made it like that nor has she paid her dues to call the shots like that.Yes Diddy can be a little overbearing but he is doing something right to have the success he does.Someone mentioned Faith and 112 where are they now.I don’t see their albums flying off the shelves and when you do hear their songs it was back when they were under what label……….Bad Boy.So you tell me whose direction would you follow;Diddy or Aubrey?
October 13th, 2008 at 10:49 am
She lasted longer than i thought she would.Diddy really suprised me because she has gotten away with somethings I thought he should have snapped on then.I think she will see he didn’t have it so bad, beacuse if she goes to another label with that Diva attitude she will be a solo has been before she can start her solo career. She was never all that. She was loud, conceded and abnoxious. She wore to much make up you know how you see those women who have been on a drinking crying binge for days that is how she looks. She played herself thinking she was a bigger star than she is.I don’t feel sorry for her as Diddy said he all about the money so don’t get it twisted. She can be replaced singers come a dime a dozen but labels are hard to find if they know you are difficult to work with.If she had of learned that she wouldn’t have gotten an X put on her forehead.

I am glad if aubrey is kicked out!! She wanted to be a porn star anyway the way she posed for those awfully trashy slutty ass pics!! She made the group look bad and they will be alright without her!!
October 15th, 2008 at 12:24 am
I agree with both sides, Diddy is her boss but even employees have the right to be treated with respect. Aubrey does have a mouth on her and even though I agree with her point she needs to find a better way to get her point across/ diddy could use that advice to(laurieann)he has definantley talk his ass into a bad situation and came crawling back
October 25th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Well i saw it coming and to b real if they have trust issues it’s with themself because dawn is talented so y should she not explore what she wants, this does not mean that the group will fail if they really have love for each other. I’m not a big fan on how diddy behaves at times (to what is shown on t.v) but the man has worked hard to get to where he is and wants the best from people and nobody can take that away from him. This is the problem why we don’t have as much female singers and rappers in the game cause they don’t understand stop tryin to block people progress and support our fellow ladies (as that is just some bitch ass nes) we need to give the music game some balance.
