Beyonce is getting a little big headed recently:
Beyonce Knowles has infuriated Janet Jackson - by suggesting her family is lower class.
The former Destiny’s Child singer said in a recent interview, “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons.
“But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”
Knowles’ comments were not welcome - and Janet now plans to confront her R&B rival.
A source tells the National Enquirer magazine, “Beyonce’s remark came out of left field and really stung Janet. She blew up.
“Yes, Janet and the Jackson family came from Gary, Indiana, and there was a time they barely squeaked by. But Janet has many loving memories and is incensed that Beyonce would make a crack like that.
“Janet wanted to know why Beyonce had to mention her family. They’re not friends and barely know each other. She feels Beyonce went out of her way to tell the world she’s from the upper class and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats.
“Janet is proud of her family and how they came from nothing and became superstars.
“Not only is Janet telling everyone who will listen that Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do and that she needs to stop trying to impress everyone, she’s planning to confront Beyonce herself and read her the riot act.”
I think that Beyonce really needs to check herself. I know that the Beyonce stans that frequent the site are going to defend her, but what she said was totally uncalled for. Besides that, it isn’t like her family was the Cosbys or something. They had their issues also. Stay Tuned.

Did anyone on here actually read the article where Beyonce allegedly said those comments about Janet? The alleged comments were made in an issue of Elle magazine. I read the article with Beyonce on the cover. And it made no mention of her childhood or the Jackson’s. In the Elle issue I read Beyonce talked about Sasha Fierce, marriage and motherhood. When you people learn to stop believing lies. A few years ago they were saying the Usher came out of the closest. And before that it was lies about Ciara being born male. Stop the madness, I love Beyonce and Janet. And they both have made their money and mark.

Just because her father manage her career & Solange doesn’t mean he’s like Joe Jackson. How do you know that the journalist for Elle who interviewed Beyonce did not pose a question pertaining to the Jackson’s which prompted Beyonce to provide a response. Then publish the story without all complete conversation. We know that journalists have to make their article interesting in order to get people to read it and or by the magazine. Okay, I am so tired of racist comments about African-American entertainers. Every time an African-American star says or does something that the media or people do not agree with, they are called “ghetto”. Beyonce has never lived or probably hung around people from the ghetto. You should read the full article before you dissect things. The interviewer asked her questions about her family (dad). It was similar to “did her parents (father) push her into the music industry and take away her childhood, like the Jacksons. She has never given a public comment about any one; therefore, the reporter tried to bait her. Now, I see why she is so careful about what she says in interviews not to be perfect, but for things like this that are taken the wrong way. If the Jacksons are so concerned about how the public views them (and I love Janet), they should have never agreed for a movie to be made, hell or books. Beyonce is not attacking Jane Jackson. She just said that her family did not need her to become a star for money. In the movie Ms. Jackson (the mother) said something like “thank God I had all those babies” when they were moving in their first big home. Go figure. LOL

I wish for once that people would stop giving these so called singers now a days credit. When I first heard, ‘If I Were a Boy,” I cried because I had just ended a 4 year relationship with a jerk. What many people do not realize is that Beyonce is not the only star who has outrageous ticket prices. All of the big names like JJ, MJ, JLO, Madonna, Green Day and Linklin Park. In addition, stars do not come up with these ideas in prices. Their high priced, well-educated business team decides these things. The managers, accountants and advertising groups calculate their value and popularity and decide the prices.

@Myra, Michael’s music touched me also, so does many of Beyonce songs. However, I am also a fan for Janet and have been for years. I love the way she dances, but her music has never moved or touched me. I cannot find 3 songs from her that were meaningful. I will name a few of Beyonce’s: Survivor, Sweet Sixteen, Girl, Emotions, Single Ladies, If I Were A Boy, Halo, and Dangerously in Love, just to name a few. Beyonce will definitely be remembered, and I hope she has a long career. I hope this for any artist with talent.

Yes, with this era, artists, athletes and actors realize you can make more money and use yourself as a brand. She is not the only star cashing in and making them a brand. That is smart. That is what any rich person does. Whether it is Walmart, Gucci or Johnson and Johnson, you have to market your product and pray that it sells. If you listen to any star, they will tell you that the more money you make the more control of your destiny you will have. You can make the kind of music you want, play in the kind of movies you prefer and sell what you want to sell. For the record, do some research because Beyonce is a great humanitarian many people do not know that because she does not tell the world. This is just MY OPINION.

This is what I have to say yes all these celebrities now-and-days are making money and they are bragging about it, but I hope these celebrities will be remembered 20 or 40 years from now otherwise money ain’t s***!!!! Also there is a difference with MJ doing humanitarian work and these artist now-and-days doing it… MJ actually cares when these artist now-and-days can go out of their way to find a donar for a little boy so he can live like MJ did for a kid I willl believe they actually care about the world and it’s not just for ratings and as far Beyonce or any other celebrity not tellling the world about her humanitarian work so what doen’t mean they actually care just remember anybody can do charity work that doesn’t mena it’s coming from the good of their heart some people are just doing it to get more fans or more fame or so people can say nice things about them the jacksons have been remembered for 40 years+ we don’t know if Beyonce will be renmmebered 20 years from now on not so lets just wait!!!

@ FAN I think people keep forgetting just because Beyonce can sing doesn’t mean she is a great artist are is a REAL ARTIST in my opinion Beyonce isn’t an artist like she use to be I feel like for her it’s all about money and being hot and money isn’t everything for her fans who keep bragging about money your creativity, music, and your humanitarian is more important MJ was very creative, he cared about the world (he didn’t just give back he’s done more than that), his music was way more different then others then or now NOBODY will ever be like him and he didn’t bash others as well he is A TRUE ARTIST!!!! Beyonce is a hustler because it seems to me ( and it’s just my opinion), but ever since she has gotting a lot of money and is the hottest female out right now that she feels she doesn’t have to be creative anymore MJ was hotter in his time than ANYBODY out right now, but he still kept going with his creativity!!!! I think Janet is not as creative as her brother, but I feel she was semi created because some of her videos she did, her moves, her style, and music you couldn’t really compare with other females Beyonce moves, style, and music can be compared to others and her music is no different from anybody else out there right now so if anybody has a problem with what I said … guess what it’s MY OPINION!!! That’s how I feel and I’m not changing my opinion!!!

The Jackson family, regardless to whatever issues the world would like to speculate they have had, has paved the way for many African-American artists to break into the genre of pop and rock music.
The Knowles family has paved the way for dark-skinned African American girls to feel as though they have to bleach their skin and wear lace front wigs to be beautiful. The Knowles family has paved the way for future strippers and video whores.

@Lilly, if you help someone because you want to and not for recognition, that is from the heart. Beyonce has helped many but many do not know that because she does not do it for attention. Many of Janet Jackson’s moves and style came from MJ, Paula Adual and other creative people. Once, MJ stopped Janet from watching his rehearsals because she copied him so much. NO other entertainer dances like Beyonce. She works hard. Many of her dance moves have been copied in nightclubs. I hope no one is upset with what you said because that is your opinion and it does not stop the fan base of Mrs. B.
@Gil, I think Beyonce will be remembered in years to come because she has broke and created records. Really, we can all sit here and pick people apart, but none of us knows any of these stars on a personal level. Therefore, our opinions really do not matter,
@Thetimehascome, correction I love the Jacksons. I have been a Janet fan since Penny. However, I just do not feel what Beyonce said was attacking the Jackson family as a whole. I think her comment was directed at Joe Jackson. I am a brown-skinned African American woman and I do not get that from Beyonce. What I take from her music is to make my own money and make a man treat me right. People just love to hate her. She cannot control what color of her skin was going to be when she was born. This is silly, so now any star who is famous and light-skinned has set dark –skinned people back-Please! Beyonce also have different types of women in her videos and concerts.

@Youlanda, when has shaking your ass been easy? It is like exercising, and not everyone has rhythm. I can name some artists who have dumbed down music. If I hear a song and can relate to it, it is not dumb to me. Several of Beyonce songs have meanings; all of her music has some type of meaning. Usually, artist’s tells their life stories through their music. I like all of the same artists you mentioned, but do you realize that some of the stars you named with their big hits did not even write or co-write the music. Go look at the credits of your favorite songs. I was shocked to find out that Tiny & Candi from Xscape wrote “No Scrubs.” Go look at MJB credits on her albums.

Just you remember this GIRL, there have been notable black women who have not only paved but paid the way for you. Not acknowledging Aretha Franklin her rightful due is disgraceful. Parading your fat ass while acting as if your shit was original is an insult to those women who had to work 4 times as hard with only half of the reward for entertaining the public. Janet was and is one of them. By the way B or Sasha or whatever you want to call yourself, Janet and Erykah Badu are the best singers to come out within the last 15 years. Grow up and recognize who your musical ancestors are. You have a ways to go girlie…remember that!
To her so-called fans, you all need to grow up along side of her. Look back on who paved the way, the price they paid for their careers, and the sacrifices made to bring themselves to the top!
This younger generation sucks shit! I’m glad to be in my mid 30’s. My generation was more appreiciative and better informed music-wise!
