Akon Cops Plea For Throwing Fan Of Stage

The “Chocolate Boy Wonder” admits he was wrong to toss a crazy white kid from a stage:

Rapper Akon pleaded guilty to harassment for throwing a fan off a stage during an upstate New York concert last year.

As part of a plea bargain, Akon admitted tossing then-15-year-old Anthony Smith into the crowd at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, after the audience, at the MC’s behest, fingered the teen for throwing an object onstage. The June 3, 2007, incident was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube.

In exchange for his guilty plea in Fishkill Town Court, Akon will escape jail time-that is, as long as he stays out of trouble, completes 65 hours of community service and pays a $250 fine. Prosecutors also dropped a child-endangerment charge as part of the deal.

After entering his plea, Akon, aka Aliaune Thiam, shook hands with Anthony and apologized to him and his parents.

The hip-hopster refused to answer reporters’ questions as he left the courthouse. But Akon’s attorney, Andrea Zellan, released a statement saying he was happy about the way things turned out.

“We are pleased that the case has been resolved, and Akon looks forward to putting this unfortunate incident behind him.”

Akon’s latest album, Freedom, hit stores earlier this month.

Word to you dumb a$$ fans: STOP THINKING THAT YOU CAN JUST TOSS $HIT AT PERFORMERS AND THINK THAT THERE WON’T BE ANY CONSEQUENCES !!!! Should’ve whipped his a$$ !!!

Akon Takes Credit For Kanye’s Success With New Album

Akon Takes Credit For Kanye’s Success With New Album

Akon “The Chocolate Wonder” is pulling a T-Pain by claiming that he deserves credit for the success of rapper Kanye West’s “808 And Heartbreaks” album as well as the countless other mc’s using that annoying a$$ auto-tune program:

Rapper Akon is taking credit for the success of Kanye West’s newest album “808 And Heartbreaks”. He is convinced that he paved the way for the rapper to try out melodic vocals.

West opted for a new sound on his latest record using Auto-Tune software to sing on the tracks instead of rapping. Akon is taking credit for the movement, insisting he and fellow rapper T-Pain were the first hip-hop stars to sing instead of just spitting rhymes.

He tells MTV, “I embrace the fact that they’re doing it (rappers are singing). Music changes every year. I’m just happy (about) the fact that people are jumping on what we’re already doing. I look at it like a tribute to what we’re already doing, and I look at it like a compliment, really.

“I say ‘you’re welcome’ every time I hear (rappers singing). A melody has a way of describing (words), ’cause of the emotions that come with melody. Melody brings it out better than a bland vocal. It’s easier to relate.”

Akon and T-Pain need to sit the F… down and shut up. Like I said before, Roger Troutman never said a thing after all of the people in the 80’s and 90’s started to use the talkbox. He was the one who made it famous. I never heard Teddy Riley say one thing either. Besides that, as annoying as Lil Wayne and all of these other people are with it, Akon and T-Pain both deserve an a$$ whooping in my opinion.

Nelly, Akon, T-Pain And Pharrell Form Rap Group

Superstar Nelly has teamed up with Akon, T-Pain and Pharrell Williams to form a rap supergroup. Nelly, who was previously rumoured to be working with T.I., revealed his plans to join forces with his fellow rappers on a new record.

He tells America’s MTV website, “Me, Akon, T-Pain and Pharrell are talking about doing a project. We got a host of things we’re trying to do - possibly put together this new 2009 (Bell Biv DeVoe) type of thing.” Nelly isn’t worried about conflicted schedules getting in the way of the collaboration.

He adds, “I don’t think you try to put things together with people you don’t think you can accomplish (them) with. With ‘Kon, with Pain and Pharrell, I know it’s more about the music than anything. It’s about leaving something.

“I think we’re all OK as far as the money thing goes. I don’t think anybody is hurting. You wanna do things you can be remembered by. Make a mark. I think that’s something that’s foremost on all our minds.”

Williams is keeping quiet about the project: “Those are all my boys. I’m kinda like the only one that adheres to the oath of secrecy. I don’t wanna break that,” and refuses to reveal what direction the sound will take, adding, “Well, seeing as though I’m supposed to be upholding my end of the bargain of upholding my oath of secrecy, I’m not so sure of how to answer that question.”

Akon’s Trial Set To Begin In December

Singer, Akon (short for A Convict), appeared in court with his attorney on September 3, 2008 over charges stemming from an incident in June 2007 where he through a teenager off stage at a concert in N.Y. Another concertgoer claims to have suffered injuries due to the teenager landing on her during the incident.

Akon asked the court for a jury trial which he was granted and is due back in court on December 1, 2008. He has been hit with harassment and endangering the welfare of a minor which he pleaded not guilty to. Judge Harold Epstein announced that the trial will begin on time unless aplea deal can be met.

The video below shows the incident in question but what it doesn’t show is when the kid throws something onto the stage at Akon. All of the videos on youtube seem to have deleted that part. Hmm, wonder why ??? I’m not saying that what Akon did was justified but these idiot hecklers need to control themselves. I guarantee that kid won’t be throwing anything else at anyone in his life. Dumb A$$.

Nelly feat Akon & Ashanti - “Body On Me”

Another single from Nelly’s album “Brass Knuckles”. The label still hasn’t found the right single for him yet but this is a much better song than the others that have been released.
