Barbara Walters is a hypocrite for telling Rosie O’Donnell to keep her big mouth shut, while her co-panelist on “The View,” Joy Behar, is allowed to keep ripping on Star Jones.

O’Donnell, who left the show in May 2007, told reporters Wednesday that Walters “wanted everyone to believe and think and act [as if the women on 'The View'] get along and are really good friends. And you know, that’s just not the reality.”

Walters responded by taking co-hosts Behar and Whoopi Goldberg to dinner at Le Cirque in a show of solidarity, and accused O’Donnell of “dumping” on the show to garner publicity. (Her variety show, “Rosie Live,” debuts on NBC next week.)

“I resent it,” Walters said on-air Thursday about O’Donnell’s snarking. “So if the shoe fits, lady, get on with your life.’

Later that day, O’Donnell took the feud to “Late Night” with Conan O’Brien, joking that she has “post-traumatic stress disorder” from her nine-month stint on “The View.”

Walters and O’Donnell share the same publicist - PMK/HBH’s Cindy Berger - who told Page Six, “Rosie enjoys rehashing old news. Barbara has moved on and is rejoicing in ‘The View.’ “

Says a friend of both: “Barbara is just tired of being the butt of Rosie’s jokes.”

But many wondered: Why does O’Donnell have to shut up, if Behar doesn’t? At last Monday’s performance of “Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words,” a show in which celebrities read excerpts from autobiographies of other celebrities, Behar chose a passage from Jones’ “You Have to Stand for Something, or You’ll Fall for Anything.”

The line that drew the biggest laugh: “Take away the wigs and the eyelashes and my fabulous clothes, and you’ll find me at White Castle, feasting on a half-dozen of those greasy square burgers.” Jones left “The View” in 2006.

Is it just me, or is The View boring as hell since the election is over ???

John and Cindy McCain were guests on the view today and one of the topics discussed was McCain’s desire to change parts of the Constitution and Roe Vs. Wade. Overturning Roe Vs. Wade is always a hot topic because of the many women who feel that they should have the right to do whatever they want to with their bodies. Whoopi made this comment to McCain when he talked about changing the Constitution; “should I be worried about becoming a slave”. You could feel the tension in the air as McCain answered “I understand your concerns.” Yeah, every Black person in America hopes that you understand their concerns Johnny Boy (even the ones that only date whites like Whoopi). Anyway, Barbara Walters tries to interject a little humor and tells Whoopi and Sherrie “We’ll take care of you, us white folks will take care of you.”

Not funny Babs. Thats was no funnier to blacks than it was to you when Gilda Radner portrayed you on Saturday Night Live as Baba WaWa. That made you furious. I already thought you were a dumb a$$ after the way you sold out Star Jones and the way you outed that black politician you had an affair with after all of these years. You made yourself sound like the Masa’s wife or some plantation owner. Baba Wawa you need to shut up and sit your old a$$ down !!!!
