Damon Dash, the has been music mogul, is going at his former partner Jay-Z again. In this video, Dame claims that he isn’t going to “Protect” Jay anymore. This guy is simply hilarious. He and Jim Jones should have their own comedy hour.

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures:

Damon Dash is telling more tales about his estranged business partner, Jay-Z. His latest: that Jigga set off a feud with Kanye West by refusing to bestow his bling on Kanye.

Dash claims the simmering beef dates back to a 2003 Chicago concert, where the then-up-and-coming Kanye expected ruling Roc-A-Fella artist Jay to “knight” him by presenting him with a gleaming chain.

But, according to Dash, Jay didn’t want to fork over the chain.

“This n- [Kanye ] was like, ‘Wow. [Jay-Z] ain’t going to give me the chain,’” Dash alleges in December’s Complex magazine. “I had to take off my chain and give it to him, and I was heated. I had the real canary diamonds. That s- cost $40,000! I told Kanye, ‘Yo, you got to give that back when we get off this stage!’”

Dash contends that after Jay-Z violated the code of hip-hop chivalry, “Kanye hated Jay-Z.”

But a rep for Kanye tells us the story is “ridiculous and totally false.”

Others suggested that Dash, whose business relationship with Jay ended badly, has trotted out the story to hype his latest protege, rapper Jim Jones.

“This is sad,” says one source. “Damon does this every time he’s promoting an artist. He just makes things up.”

Despite Dash’s feud claim, Kanye and Jay have performed several times together since the supposed bling diss.

“They’re both on [Def Jam],” says a source. “They’re friends and always have been.”

Another hip-hop insider added, “No one has ever said that Kanye hated Jay. [West, Jay-Z and Dash] were all together at one point every single day. To say he hated him back then is silly.”

“Damon wants to blow [Jim Jones] up,” the source agreed, noting that Dash is producing a documentary about Jones in which Dash introduces the rapper to influential acquaintances, like Vogue editor Anna Wintour. “We’ll see how this plays out.”

Reps for Jay-Z and Dash didn’t return calls. The full interview with Dash and Jones appears tomorrow on Complex.com.

It’s sad that a man who has had the financial success that Dash reached is now having to stoop to spreading rumors just to stay relevant. SMH.

A bank wants his Tribeca condos, the city is seizing his SUV and his lawyer dropped him for not paying his legal bills.

It’s not easy being Damon Dash, has-been hip-hop mogul.

The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear - who in 2005 sold his share in the clothing empire to Jay-Z for $20 million - is under assault in Manhattan Supreme Court from lawyers, lenders and landlords fed up with not getting paid.

The fall has been a dizzying one for Dash, who has gone from owning Keds, a vodka company and 1,300 pairs of shoes to dodging bills and accusing a former accountant of ripping him off for millions of dollars.

“I’ve worked with musicians, artists and entertainers that in the eyes of the media are very wealthy,” said lawyer Jason Gabbard, who represented a fashion firm that settled a suit against Dash and his wife over $148,505 in unpaid fees. “But to borrow a phrase from my Kentucky homeland, they haven’t got a pot to p— in - they’re broke.”

A Manhattan judge this week ordered the city to seize Dash’s Chevrolet Tahoe, since he wasn’t making the $714.99 monthly payment on the leased SUV.

That October suit came on the heels of one in August, when Eastern Savings Bank foreclosed on the $7.3 million mortgage for two trendy Tribeca condos where the monthly $78,504.26 bill went unpaid for months.

Dash faces an outstanding $2.1 million tab with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, a $4,500 bill from the state for not paying workers’ comp and a suit that says he stiffed the law firm that handled his child-custody case.

Dash even got dumped by another firm representing him in a $3.5 million suit against accountant-to-the-stars Barry Klarberg, who is accused of bungling his tax returns, costing him millions.

“The suit is meritorious and we wish him well with it,” said Harry Lipman of Rottenberg Lipman Rich.

Dash’s descent into an MC Hammer-like financial abyss is a far cry from 2006, when he boasted about his butler and chef in New York magazine and said he was worth “about $50 million.”

Dash, 37, did not respond to interview requests. Spokeswoman Amanda Silverman said in e-mails Dash “won all of his lawsuits.”

The record proves otherwise.

Court records show Dash settled two suits accusing him of not paying rent on two Manhattan offices, as well as suits charging he owed big bucks to fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, the fashion firm Showroom Seven and a security company that guards celebs.

“Quite simply, he got behind on his payments and it was necessary to go after him legally,” said Mike Zimet, whose Bronx security firm sued Dash in 2005 over an $86,547 tab. “If you do the work, you want to get paid for it.”

Damon Dash still hasn’t seen his son for weeks — even after a court edict — and now a judge is going to haul the boy’s mama back in cuffs if that’s what it takes.

We’ve learned the judge in the Dash custody battle finally lost her patience and issued a bench warrant yesterday. Linda Williams is still defying the judge’s order to return Damon II, whom she picked up weeks ago for a weekend visit and hasn’t returned. The whereabouts of the child are unknown.

Our spies spotted Damon outside a Midtown hotel “pacing on the phone” for 45 minutes yesterday as the court drama went down.

Boy where is Jay-Z when you need him ????

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Just two years ago, Damon Dash was still partners in Roc-a-fella with Sean “Jay-Z” Carter and living large. Now, his two apartments in TriBeCa are under foreclosure, and he’s being dissed by the hip-hop community as well. Allhiphop.com, which rules the hip-hop world, is hosting an inaugural 100 Handprints in Hip Hop Dinner on Sept. 21 at the New York Public Library - and while Russell Simmons, Wyclef Jean, Eminem and Jay-Z made the cut, Dash didn’t. “They’re being ruthless with the list,” sources say.

He better get those stacks together before the beautiful Rachel Roy packs her bags. I’m sure he knows that she didn’t marry him for his looks.

Rap mogul Damon Dash’s baby mama is holding his son “hostage,” we’re told — and Dash is hauling her into court this morning so he can see the kid.

A source tells TMZ Linda Williams — who’s the mother of Damon Dash II, aka “Boogie” — hasn’t allowed Damon to see Boogie. So Dash’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, has filed a motion to make Linda physically bring the son to court.

Williams has made an extensive litany of claims about Boogie’s treatment as Dash’s son, claiming he hasn’t had running water and electricity in his house, among other things. Damon’s lawyer denies all of this.

Damn Dame. We know you might be a little short on stacks since splitting with Jigga but no ruuning water ??? If thats true I’m SMH.

A bank is suing former Roc A Fella Records and Clothing owner Damon Dash for failing to pay his mortgage.

According to eastern Savings, Dash failed to pay almost $80,000.00 in monthly payments for a pair of Tribeca condos.

The bank wants the payments immediately on apartments in the Sugar Warehouse on Laight St. and in the Atalanta on North Moore St.

$10,000 in late fees on the $7.3 million cross-mortgage that covers both properties. also must be paid. “Damon Dash and his wife, Rachel Roy, are named in the suit.

The lawsuit points out that Dash, has a history of not paying his bills.

The suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, cites numerous judgments against Dash in which he was ordered to pay more than $2 million in New York state taxes, more than $100,000 in federal taxes and $95,000 in unpaid rent to the landlord of the W.39th St. building that houses Damon Dash Enterprises.

A spokeswoman for Dash did not reply to requests for comment, and a lawyer for Eastern Savings Bank declined to comment.

Dash last year sued his accountant for allegedly costing him millions of dollars by filing faulty tax returns.
