After the finale of season 3 of Making The Band 4 aired on MTV, D. Woods and Aubrey O’Day’s dismissal from Danity Kane was a done deal. Proving that everything isn’t always what it seems on TV, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex have come forward to offer their version of the events, thoughts on why Diddy booted O’Day, and predictions on what’s next for the group.

“This is real life to me - every facial expression, everything we’re going through, said Bex to EW.com. “We’re just as flabbergasted and shell-shocked as everybody.”

The finale, which aired live on Tuesday night, featured a question and answer period for which D. Woods and Diddy were not present. But Bex says that she thinks Diddy’s absence was what was best.

“Puff is a scary guy,” Bex said. “I think we were a little relieved that he was via satellite. He’s very intimidating.”

Bex went on to day that D. Woods was not there because the live event was announced on short notice and she had a previous engagement.

“She [was] in Europe, where she was asked to host a fashion show and be part of an awards show,” Bex explained. “We didn’t even know the live finale was going to happen. From what we understood, the meeting we were in [with Puff that you saw on TV] was it. Then we got last-minute phone calls about his life-finale Q&A. So, understandably, people had to move things around in their schedules, and some could, and some people couldn’t.”

While Diddy unapologetically gave Aubrey the boot, he said that D. Woods just got caught up in the wrath intended for her. But Dawn is claiming Aubrey was kicked out of the group because of her arguably unflattering image.

“Puff did not like [O'Day's] image… where her image was going for the group,” she said to UsMagazine. “It wasn’t a personal thing.” According to Dawn, O’Day’s recent topless photo spread for Complex magazine is what sealed the deal.

“We had just did a signing with Dollhouse Teen, which is for 13-, 14-year-old young girls,” Dawn continued. “So, we can’t do that one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover… [Diddy] wants the fans, and he says he can’t do that if we can continue to go in the direction we that we are going.”

Dawn also addressed the rumors of her pursuing a solo project, saying that although nothing has been presented to her, she would be open to the possibility.

“Everyone should ask Puff if that’s what he has in line for me,” she said. “If he does, then I’m honored and I will work hard, as I’ve always done. Who knows what can happen, because Puff changes his mind every five seconds. I’m going to work hard. I’m going to be the same person I was in the beginning.”

As far as the future of Danity Kane is concerned, no one really seems to know what is going to happen. Some claim Diddy is going to replace the two girls while others are predicting the group will be disbanded all together.

“We talked about it, and there’s a fear we have of losing our fanbase,” Dawn said to Essence magazine. “But at the end of the day, Diddy made his choice to let us decide, and we would like to continue with the name and the group. This is our lives, and you can’t just say not to your dreams. I love working with the group. However, it’s so hard to say what will happen. I would prefer that the original group members remain. It’s hard enough for fans to follow as is.”

Aubrey O’Day, Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard, D Woods and Shannon Bex appear naked in a new anti-fur ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The Making The Band group cover up with a ‘We’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur’ banner but are otherwise all exposed.

They must have agreed to do this before Aubrey and D were axed.

Dawn Richard of Danity Kane has confirmed that  Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods are no longer members of the pop group Diddy created on TV after the pair’s firing recently featured on Making The Band.

Stunned fans thought the showdown between the two singers and Diddy, aired on MTV in the US on Tuesday night, was just a publicity stunt for the show - but Richard insists Danity Kane is now a trio.

She tells Usmagazine.com, “Puff (Diddy) did not like (O’Day’s) image… (or) where her image was going for the group.”

Richard, who admits she’s still shocked by the decision to axe her bandmates, suggests O’Day’s decision to pose scantily clad on the cover of urban magazine Complex helped seal her fate: “We had just did a signing with Dollhouse Teen, which is for 13, 14-year-old young girls. We can’t do that one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover.

“He (Diddy) wants the fans, and he says he can’t do that if we can continue to go in the direction that we were going.

“Puff told me specifically that Aubrey is no longer in Danity Kane and Danity Kane will move forward without her.”

Meanwhile, confirming O’Day’s departure, Diddy says, “I just want to work with the young lady that I signed, not the person that fame has made her,” adding Woods got “caught up in the wrath” of O’Day.

O’Day can probably make a run as a solo artist if a label can exploit her trashy sexy image. I don’t know about D. I think that it was staged anyway so we’ll see.

There has been much speculation that Diddy has been dating and planning to make Dawn a solo artist , so I guess this is proof positive at least about the going solo part. Recently on Making The Band, Diddy tossed Aubrey from the group which made the rumors of Dawn going solo even more believable.  What do you think of Dawn’s first solo attempt ?

For those of you who missed  Making The Band, Diddy had a meeting with the girls and decided that Aubrey was out of the group because she “didn’t have to talk the way she was talking to him”. Translation: This will teach everyone else not to stand up to me, and especially not to ask questions - particularly when it comes to money!

Diddy had a meeting with the group and all of a sudden, all of this “drama” with the group that had never been conveyed on camera before just came out of nowhere (which continues to feed my suspicion that this show is scripted). Never once did you see any friction between the girls. Never one argument, never one eye roll… nothing. So, either these girls were very good at hiding their true feelings towards one another while the cameras were rolling or they spend a lot of time diting the show.

Diddy reveals that Aundrea had at one point sent him an email saying that she wanted out of the group but when he asked her why she stumbled and tried to be politically correct in conveying her “love” for the ladies. Then he goes on to ask Aubrey why she wanted out at one point but he didn’t like what she had to say.She said that the group had collectively decided that they had problems with management and the way things were being handled with them. The fact that a rumor came from someone on his management team about Diddy working with Dawn on a solo project was disturbing and had caused mistrust within the group.

Aubrey’s issue was, if the group already has trust issues and it’s tearing the group apart, it would just make sense that he ease their suspicions and calm their nerves about whether he was working with a particular member on a solo project.

Diddy’s point (in true Diddy fashion) was, “I don’t have to tell you nothin!” Before it was all over, Diddy told Aubrey that he didn’t want her in the group anymore and asked if anyone wanted to go with her… fade to black!

Rumors are swirling again around P. Diddy and Bad Boy. Diddy has been in the news all year with his on and off relationship with his ex girlfriend Kim Porter and rumored relationships with Cassie and Danity Kane member Aubrey O’day. Now comes talk that the mogul has been having a relationship with Danity Kane member Dawn who is supposedly dating Day 26 member Qwanell. It is being said that Diddy is preparing Dawn to go solo because he feels that she is the most talented group member. Recently he ripped Aubrey O’day for her dancing skills which he once praised her over. Group members are said to be upset about the special attention he is showing Dawn.

Boy if this is true this guy is doing quite well with the ladies. Having big stacks sure does make you look much more handsome to the ladies. SMH.
