More ganking going on in the music industry:
A couple of men from Jersey have sued Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and others, claiming that they have made millions after stealing a song from the pair.
Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams claimed in a federal lawsuit that they handed a audio disk to the “office” of megaproducer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins with the song “On My Grind.”
Then, four years later, Mary J. recorded a song titled “Enough Cryin’” which was ironically produced by Darkchild , and it sounded awfully familiar.
Jay-Z’s involvement in the suit is unclear. The defendants couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

The group have brought in a range of popular urban stars to reinterpret their biggest hits on the forthcoming Call & Response: The Remix Album, which is set to hit stores next month.
The main body of the reworked tracks come from the band’s first two LPs: 2001’s Songs for Jane, and It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, released in 2006.
Mary J Blige tackles Wake Up Call with superproducer Mark Ronson, NERD star Williams remixes She Will Be Loved, and rap producer Swizz Beatz takes on If I Never See Your Face Again - the duet between Maroon 5 and Rihanna that was released earlier this year.
And the rockers are delighted with the results.
Frontman Adam Levine says, “I’ve always found it really interesting that a group of people looking at the same painting can all see different thing.
“That was the idea behind this record, to take a few of our songs and have them interpreted by some of our favourite artists. We were really blown away by what they came up with.”

Singers Mary J. Blige and Melissa Etheridge have helped raise money to fight a ban on gay marriage in California by performing at an all star gala.
Blige and Etheridge both took to the stage at billionaire Ron Burkle’s Beverly Hills, California, estate on Tuesday night in front of an audience of celebrities including Barbra Streisand, James Brolin and Rob Reiner.
Blige gave a rousing rendition of U2’s One, while Etheridge sang the appropriately titled Wedding Bell Blues, according to the New York Daily News.
The fundraiser made more than GBP2.41 million to help fight the Proposition 8 bill - a high-level state vote in the upcoming November elections to make same-sex marriages constitutionally illegal in California.
Gay unions were legalised in the state in May, which led to a spate of celebrity weddings including TV host Ellen DeGeneres’ marriage to longtime partner Portia de Rossi in August.

This is the second single from Musiq’s upcoming album “On The Radio” due in November. I wasn’t feeling his first single because that wasn’t the Musiq that we are used to. The 808 drums and corny vocal arrangements were beneath him. On this song he returns to rare form and with the assistance of the soulful Blige they create a beautiful duet that is long overdo in the music industry today.
