It seems as though the recent rumors of Nene Leakes and her family being evicted from their Atlanta home are true as you will see when you view the video below. Greg Leakes is portrayed as a successful real estate investor and business consultant but according to published reports he is no more than a property manager and he owes over $100,000 in property tax liens and money to the IRS. SMH.
Rumors hit the net yesterday claiming that Nene Leakes of Bravo’s hit reality show The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, was evicted from her home. Nene wants to clear up the rumors:
NeNe Leakes insists reports of her being evicted from her home have been greatly exaggerated.
“I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle,” NeNe said in a statement released earlier today. “We have indeed moved to another home, but we did so on our own free will. We live in an absolutely beautiful home and we are fortunate to be able to live in the place of our choice.”
Local reports out of Georgia earlier this week alleged the family was kicked to the curb because they owed $6,240 in past rent.
“Without wasting time on the details, the only thing I will say is that we were NOT evicted,” NeNe said. “Everybody knows that I like to be honest, real and upfront. If something was wrong, I would tell you!”
Maybe it’s time NeNe & Co. just ditch Atlanta altogether. She’s told me on numerous occasions that she’d like to try and make it in Hollywood. She actually thought about making a move to the West Coast a couple of years ago, but her husband, Gregg, nixed the idea.
“He’s a Southern boy,” NeNe explained shortly after Atlanta Housewives debuted in October. “He’s from Georgia. He’s been here all of his life.”
Even so, NeNe said, “I’ll get myself a place in Hollywood.”

According to the broker for the 5,000-square-foot home in Duluth, Ga., NeNe and her husband, Gregory Leakes, left in November after Winwood Properties filed an eviction notice in September.
Apparently, Greg Leakes owed $6,240 in past due rent. NeNe, in a series of e-mails Tuesday with AccessAtlanta, would not say where she is living now. That’s none of your business, she wrote. But she said they are financially stable enough to live where ever we feel.
NeNe, 41, also noted that the eviction notice does not have her name on it, adding you don’t know my relationship with Greg so be careful what you report!
It seems that the decision is unanimous that Nene Leakes was the most likeable of the Real Atlanta Housewives. Nene just seemed to be so down to earth. She’s definitely someone that I could see myself being friends with. Her bubbly and positive attitude always seem to brighten the mood and gave a big lift to a show that many can’t seem to explain why they even watched. Since the shows end, Nene is enjoying the fab life. She probably will end up having her own show. If she does, I ain’t mad at her. If they can give that tramp New York and the Metro Sexual A$$ Stallionares a show, then anyone should be able to get one. Nene haad this to say about her newfound star status: “I have tons of fans who love me and come up to me everywhere I go.”
