Rihanna was invited to work in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day.
The beautiful 20-year-old Grammy winner is the headliner for the Recording Industry Association of America’s charity ball to benefit Feeding America on Jan. 20, according to Access Hollywood.
“We are thrilled to have Rihanna’s participation in the inauguration charity ball,” Feeding America’s Vicky Escarra told Access. “As the prevalence of hunger in America increases at an unprecedented rate, we are most grateful to Rihanna and to RIAA for helping us bring greater visibility to this tragic reality and helping us feed millions more people in need.”

Nicole Richie fans should not get their hopes up:
“While Nicole respects Rihanna and thinks she is immensely talented, she is not currently working on an album and hence, not currently working with Rihanna as has been recently reported,” a rep for Richie, 27, tells Usmagazine.com.
Rumors of a collaboration stem from a New York newspaper, which reported Rihanna and Kelly Osbourne were “coaching Nicole and giving her tips on how to perform.”
While Richie was a member of an all-girls band named Darling in 2004, she’s currently focusing on her jewelry line, House of Harlow - which she named after her 11-month-old daughter.
“Harlow is obviously the most important part of my life,” she says in the newest issue of Us Weekly, on stands now.

A photographer won’t stop the music until Rihanna and Chris Brown have forked over $1 million.
Luis Santana, a shutterbug for Florida’s St. Petersburg Times, is suing the R&B crooners, claiming their bodyguards beat him and confiscated his camera after he caught them leaving the Vintage Ultra Lounge together in early May.
Santana tells E! News he was invited to the nightclub to take pictures of the twosome celebrating Brown’s 19th birthday. He said Brown’s bodyguards told him he could not photograph the couple inside the club, but he could shoot them in the parking lot.
“Once I snapped pictures of Chris and Rihanna, Chris jumped out of the limo and his bodyguards began chasing me,” Santana says.
“One of the guys ripped my shirt off and grabbed me. They threw me to the ground, and started kicking me. One of the guys put his knee in my face and was pressing down. I thought my jaw was going to break.”
Reps for Brown and Rihanna did not immediately respond to an E! News request for comment.
According to the police report “the suspects then took the victim’s camera, breaking it then leaving the scene in a black Excursion limousine.” No charges have been filed in the case, because, police say, of conflicting accounts of what transpired.
So Santana has gone the lawsuit route, filing his complaint yesterday. The action’s million-dollar price tag covers the cost of the camera, the photos lost and compensation for his injuries and emotional distress.
Despite their matching tattoos, the chart-toppers have steadfastly denied their togetherness, and Santana suspects this was the reason for their reaction.
“At the time they were just a rumored couple, ” Santana tells E! “Chris was celebrating his birthday with her and that was a huge photo. I guess they didn’t want it out.”
James Guttridge, owner of Vintage nightclub which is also named in the suit, tells E! News, “What happened was unfortunate but aside from being the host of the event, we had no part in the altercation.”
R&B superstar singer Rihanna sparked fears for her health when paramedics were rushed to her show in Sydney, Australia on Thursday when she complained of feeling sick.
Rihanna was performing at Sydney’s Acer Arena when she appeared to be in physical pain after being lowered down to the stage by a harness. Her boyfriend Chris Brown had joined her on stage for a rendition of their remix to her smash hit Umbrella. The remix is named Cinderella and she had to flee the stage to seek medical attention.
Fans became frantic as Brown was forced to finish the show’s finale alone. But spokesperson Amanda Silverman denies rumors the star fainted behind the scenes. Instead she insists that Rihanna was just hot and needed to rehydrate. Silverman tells WENN, “It was very hot at the venue, so after Rihanna’s set was over, she went off stage and needed to sit down, catch her breath and have some water.”
Silverman is adamant that the star will be in perfect condition to continue her Australian tour dates: “She is perfectly healthy and will be at her show tomorrow.”

Seems that the super couple thinks that Ne-Yo should keep his mouth shut about their relationship:
R&B singer Ne-Yo spoke to the UK’s Sun newspaper about the private relationship of the couple on Oct. 13 saying, “At first I did question whether it was real, but I’m good friends with both of them and I know that they are in a genuine relationship.”
Since then Ne-Yo, who wrote 20-year-old Rihanna’s hits Unfaithful and Take a Bow, has been in the outs with the pair. “I heard recently they were a little upset with me,” Ne-Yo told OK! Magazine in a recent interview.
As for forcing Rihanna and Chris to reveal their relationship to the public Ne-Yo said: “I’ve never done anything of the sort,” he told us. “I think it might be pictures of them kissing that makes people think that.”

Superstar Rihanna’s hit song Umbrella has been named the catchiest song ever in a new survey.
The song, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven weeks and the UK singles charts for ten weeks last summer, beat off stiff competition to take the title.
Abba’s 1976 hit Dancing Queen came second in the poll, while YMCA by the Village People was awarded third place.
The fourth position is held by Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ chart-topping Come On Eileen. The top five was rounded out by Kylie Minogue’s 2001 hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head in the survey which was done by OnePoll.com.

SInger/songwriter Ne-Yo has revealed that his record company tried to pair him with singer Rihanna before she began dating Chris Brown in order to create some controversy.
In a statement to The Sun, Ne-Yo said,
“Just months prior to them dating record companies were trying to put me with Rihanna to build up some controversy” says the “Year of the Gentleman” star.
“They’ve been trying to do it with me for years but I refuse to sell my soul.”
On whether Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship is real, however, he says,
“I’ve hung out with them so much that I know that it’s the real deal and they’re in a relationship… “They tear hair out of each other and argue. I’ve seen them kiss and make up like other couples do.”
This statement only adds fuel to the rumors of Ne-Yo’s being gay. Maybe he should’ve kept this info to himself. SMH.
